Baked Maple Glazed Salmon:

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, lemon juice, and grated ginger until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush each fillet generously with the maple glaze, reserving some for later.
  4. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets, so keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.
  5. About halfway through the cooking time, brush the salmon fillets with the remaining maple glaze for an extra layer of flavor.
  6. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Serve the baked salmon hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley or green onions. It pairs well with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.

Enjoy your delicious and flavourful maple glazed salmon!
